Build My Energy PlanNo obligation. No pressure. Just a clearer place to start.
These Terms of Use explain how you may use the I LOVE SOLAR website, content, tools and enquiry pathways. I LOVE SOLAR helps households understand their energy options and connect with potentially suitable suppliers. It does not install equipment or replace advice from an appropriately qualified professional.
1. About these Terms
These Terms of Use apply to your access to and use of the I LOVE SOLAR website, content, calculators, tools and enquiry pathways, unless a separate written agreement expressly applies to a particular service.
I LOVE SOLAR is operated by Genetiqe Pty Ltd (ABN 55 165 721 595), trading as I Love Solar. In these Terms, “I LOVE SOLAR”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Genetiqe Pty Ltd and the I Love Solar business.
By using the website, you agree to follow these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the relevant part of the website.

2. Using the website responsibly
You may use the website for lawful personal, household or research purposes. You must not use it to interfere with its operation, gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, misuse forms or tools, infringe another person’s rights, send spam or submit misleading or harmful material.
You are responsible for ensuring that information you submit is accurate, current and provided with any necessary authority. Do not submit another person’s personal information unless you are permitted to do so.
3. Information for energy decisions
I LOVE SOLAR publishes general information about household energy choices. Our content, calculators and tools are provided to help you frame better questions and compare options. They are not a substitute for property-specific technical, financial or legal advice, or advice from an appropriately qualified professional.
Energy requirements depend on matters including your property, existing equipment, patterns of use, electricity arrangements, future plans and the work proposed. Website information is not a promise that a particular product, system, supplier, saving, price, outcome or financial result will be suitable, available or achieved.
Before proceeding, check the relevant proposal and contract carefully, including scope, assumptions, inclusions, exclusions, timing, price, warranties, approvals, connection requirements and ongoing obligations.
4. Supplier introductions and third parties
I LOVE SOLAR may help you identify or connect with suppliers that appear relevant to the type of energy project you are considering. An introduction, enquiry pathway or reference to a third party does not by itself create a contract between you and that supplier.
We are not the installer and do not perform installation or other supplier services. The relevant supplier remains responsible for its services, representations, qualifications, prices, availability, warranties and the contract it enters into with you. You should confirm those matters directly with the supplier.
We may receive a commercial benefit from some business relationships, advertising or referrals. Where that is relevant, we will provide further information in the applicable page, disclosure or collection notice. A listing, reference or introduction is not an endorsement, guarantee, exclusivity arrangement or guarantee of suitability, availability or outcome.
If you ask us to connect you with a supplier, information may be shared as explained in the notice provided at the point of collection and in our Privacy Policy. The supplier may handle your information under its own privacy policy.
5. Website content and intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the website, design, text, graphics, tools, branding and other material are owned by or licensed to the relevant rights holder. You may view and use that material for the ordinary purpose of using the website and researching your household’s energy options.
You must not reproduce, adapt, publish, distribute, commercialise or create derivative material from the website, or remove ownership notices or present I LOVE SOLAR material as your own, except where we give permission or Australian law allows it.
For copyright or other rights enquiries, contact [email protected].
6. Privacy and cookies
Our collection and handling of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy. Our use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in our Cookie Policy. Those policies form part of the information governing your use of the relevant website features.
7. Availability and changes
We may update, change, suspend or withdraw the website or any content, tool or enquiry pathway. Content may become outdated as products, electricity arrangements, government settings, technical requirements and supplier circumstances change. We do not promise that the website will always be available, error-free, current or compatible with every device.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page, including its last-updated date, is the current version for website use. Changes will apply from publication unless a different commencement date is stated. A separate agreement will continue to apply according to its own terms.
8. Responsibility and consumer rights
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss arising from your reliance on general website information, a third-party website or service, a supplier’s conduct, or an interruption, error, omission, delay, security incident or unavailability outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, remedy, condition or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including under the Australian Consumer Law or applicable state or territory law. If a law implies a guarantee or protection into these Terms and prevents us from excluding it, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by that law.
9. Suspension and misuse
We may suspend or restrict access to the website where reasonably necessary to protect the website, users, suppliers or our systems, or where we reasonably suspect misuse, unlawful conduct or a security risk. We may restore access when the relevant issue has been resolved. This does not limit any rights or remedies available under law.
10. Complaints and contact
Questions or complaints about the website or these Terms should be sent to [email protected]. Complaints about a supplier’s work, proposal, contract, installation, price or warranty should be raised with that supplier first, while you retain any rights available under Australian law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You submit to the courts of Queensland and courts entitled to hear appeals from them, except to the extent that mandatory law in another Australian state or territory applies to you or the relevant transaction.
12. General
If part of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, it will be read down or severed to the extent necessary, and the rest will continue. A failure or delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right. These Terms, together with the linked policies and any separate agreement that applies to a particular service, describe the rules for using the website.
