This Advertising Policy explains how advertising may appear on the I Love Solar website, operated by Genetiqe Pty Ltd (ABN 55 165 721 595). I Love Solar is an Australian-wide information and matching website. Some advertising partners may offer services related to energy, home improvement, technology, finance or other topics, but they are independent businesses and are not part of, or directly related to, I Love Solar unless we expressly say otherwise.
Advertising on this website
We may display banner advertisements, sponsored placements, referral placements and other commercial messages. Some placements may be sold directly to paid advertisers. Others may be supplied or selected through advertising networks, including Google, and may be contextual, automated or based on information about the device, browser or general browsing activity.
Advertising will be presented as advertising or in a way that makes its commercial nature reasonably clear. Advertising is separate from I Love Solar’s editorial content, guides, calculators, comparisons and general information. Payment or placement does not give an advertiser control over our independent editorial content.
Our advertising standards
We aim to accept advertising that is lawful, relevant to our audience, reasonably clear and consistent with the purpose of the website. We expect advertisers to provide accurate information and to comply with applicable Australian laws, industry standards and the policies of the advertising platform used.

Checking advertisers
Where we can reasonably do so, we will make practical checks of directly paid advertisers, such as checking business details, contact information, website content and relevant registrations or licences. These checks are risk-based and may not identify every issue. We do not guarantee that an advertiser is genuine, solvent, licensed, suitable or compliant, and a listing or advertisement should not be treated as an endorsement.
Google and other automated advertising
Some advertising may be served automatically by Google or another advertising provider. Automated systems may select advertisements based on context, availability, location, device, interests or other signals. We do not choose or pre-approve every automated advertisement and cannot guarantee that every advertisement will be displayed exactly as intended or that every prohibited category will be filtered in every instance. We will take reasonable steps available to us to block unsuitable categories and respond to reports.
Advertiser links and click-throughs
An advertisement may link to a website, product, service, offer or enquiry form operated by an independent third party. I Love Solar does not control the advertiser’s website, pricing, availability, terms, privacy practices, security, products, services or subsequent communications. We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, safety, legality, availability or suitability of an advertiser or its landing page, and we are not responsible for what happens after you click an advertisement.
Please review the advertiser’s own terms and privacy policy, verify important claims independently and use care before providing personal information, making a payment or entering into an agreement. If an advertisement makes a regulated or technical claim, consider obtaining independent advice and checking the relevant licence or registration.
Commercial relationships and privacy
We may receive payment, an advertising fee, referral fee or other commercial benefit for some placements or introductions. This does not change our responsibility to present commercial content clearly, but it may mean that I Love Solar benefits if you interact with or enquire through an advertisement.

Reporting an advertisement

We will review the report and may remove or restrict the placement, although we cannot guarantee a particular outcome.

Advertisers are responsible for ensuring their advertising complies with the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable Commonwealth, state and territory laws. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
